Excellent Snare!

When looking for a Lobster Snare you won't find one better than this! Easy to load and closes immediately upon pressing the trigger. Well constructed and should last years...Lobsters beware!!

Nice Snare

Received as a gift. It has become stuck and no longer works. I did let a buddy borrow it so there you go. It is built well and if you do not loan it out, will last quite a while.

Don't buy it

Went down to the keys and got one. The button kept jamming so i exchange it and then the new one broke. I lost tons of huge lobster because of this.

Worth its weight

I am a scuba instructor: I use this snare frequently due to its push button use (one handed), but it does have issues. It will "melt" in your car so don't leave it in the trunk in the hot sun, and occasionally, a bug will escape even when fully closed (recently molted bugs have soft shells). When used during mini-lobster season, I caught 20 bugs off Hilsboro Ledge. When other divers see it, they always want to try it. Another issue is sometimes the "push button" does not trigger unless pressed quite hard. However, once you get the "knack of it," it's a dream. Loop the tail and that puppy is coming home with you tonight. It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, the device is awesome.

Button sticks

Button sticks sometimes and is hard to press. Great concept but still has a couple flaws to work out. Still like it though.

This is a machine

I've been using this "machine" for years, it has NEVER failed me. Just lube with silicone. If you get the loop around the tail....ring the dinner bell !
