Good not perfect

Good snare. Can break at handle were it changes to the green. Other than that easy to use underwater to get the bugs.

Takes skill works awesome

Bought this last year and we used it everyday for 3 weeks and came home with over 100 lobster. But does take skill not for everyone.

Simple and Reliable Lobster Snare

We grew up using a tickle stick and hand net catching lobster, but switched to this snare about 8 years ago and have never looked back. Too many lobster got away in the coral jungles of the patch reefs. You can close the loop to use it as a tickle stick, and open the loop to slip over the lobster's tail then just quickly pull the plunger and you got em. Avoid touching the sides of the lobster when you are slipping the loop over the tail. You should also grasp the lobster with one hand after you have pulled the snare loop closed on it. The only caution is to store the snare with the loop all the way open, otherwise the wire will take on a narrow shape with a bend.

Doesn't corrode and makes life easy

This bad boy will not let you down. First time out, grabbed 12 lobsters. This snare is well constructed and works well underwater. Only this is its pricey compared to using a tickle stick and net. When your on the boat with 15 lobsters though, you'll realize the investment paid off.

Great snare!

Easy to use. Does not snag or bind up, and has an automatic lock.

Green stick

I love the color. Had to take out the metal cable but I needed a green stick and this did the job perfectly. Now I can point to things with a bright green stick

Excellent snare!!!

Love the ease of operation with this snare. My 12 year old son caught his first lobster with it this weekend - no problem. Well made, easy to use. Color makes it easy to find even if you drop it on the bottom while diving.

Awesome Piece of Gear

This is the best snare that I have come across for bug hunting. I usually keep a couple on hand to lend out to my buddy divers when we go bug hunting. The snare is very simple to use and it makes catching the bugs easy. We constantly catch our daily limit using these snares.
