Whether or not you are a strong swimmer, if you plan to spend a lot of time in the water snorkeling, you should consider a snorkel vest. Snorkel vests are orally-inflatable vests to give you extra support on the surface while you swim with your face in the water. They are designed to keep your upper body supported, so you don’t have to work to stay on the surface. If you decide to swim down and look at something, let some of the air out of your snorkel vest and go. When you return to the surface, simply blow into the fill tube and pump your snorkeling vest back up and continue to snorkel on the surface.
