Toadfish Outfitters

Toadfish Outfitters is a company created to enhance your coastal lifestyle while also seeking to help restore coastal ecosystems through the healing powers of oysters. Oysters are not only delicious, but they provide a valuable service for coastal sea life by filtering and clarifying toxic water. With more and more people living on the coast, more and more toxins find their way into the sea, and a healthy oyster habitat means a healthy coastal ecosystem.

Fun fact: A single oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water a day!

So, having lived on the coast their entire lives, the founders of Toadfish Outfitters sought to keep the coastal communities healthy by creating the Put ‘Em Back™ movement which rebuilds and nurtures new oyster beds. So far the movement has helped plant over 73,000 square feet of oyster beds, and they plant more beds with every product sold and with the help of volunteers and donations. Additionally, Toadfish seeks to further the health of aquatic ecosystems by using consumer recycled plastic where possible in their products.
